What's a Torrent?

by Caachi Admin last modified 2007-07-26 21:43

Films on Caachi are distributed using the BitTorrent peer to peer (P2P) file sharing protocol. The file that you initially download from the Caachi website is not a file of the film itself; rather it's a "pointer" to the actual film file. Called a "torrent" file, this file once downloaded can be launched using Miro to download the film on to your system.

For more information on BitTorrent, here's the Wikipedia entry.
