2007 Audience Award for Best Short Film at Cinequest film festival and 2007 Best International Short at Beverly Hills Hi-Def film festival. "Gordo" is a delightful culinary tale of an immigrant's journey from Mexico to the US and how Gordo's delicious creations have unintended effects. Gordo is a hard-working, gifted taco maker from Mexico who travels to America to make a better life for his family. Gordo arrives in Watsonville, CA where his only option to work is at Cinco de Taco, a national fast food chain. Appalled at how the chain makes tacos, Gordo sneaks his own ingredients into the fast food restaurant and prepares tacos the way he did in Mexico. Gordo's culinary gift gets him recognition, but does he want this recognition?

Nuyorican Dream chronicles the struggles and aspirations of the Torres-Gutierrez clan, a Puerto Rican family trying to rise above and stick together in New York. But the effects of urban poverty run deep: eldest son Robert suffers alienation after becoming the first family member to graduate from college; siblings Beti and Tati deal with drug addiction; and mother Marta resorts to selling her homemade pasteles to support the extended family. Nuyorican Dream is not just about “making it” in America, but about making it with the family intact.

Red Cockroaches is available for purchase on the Caachi website.

Set in a New York of the near future, complete with flying cars and
glowing red cockroaches, "Red Cockroaches" is a mind bending and morally
ambiguous astounding visual experience.

A man in his twenties
meets a mysterious young woman who disrupts the banality of his
day-to-day existence. Together, they will embark on an
obsessive-destructive journey revealing dark family secrets and
forbidden desires.

Mysterious and seductive, often disturbing,
this unclassifiable piece of cinema offers very few answers as it plays
with our genre expectations, taking us on a surreal journey with a
devastating climax.

Miguel Coyula has created a work that is completely unexpected both in
form and content. By using a different camera setup for every shot, and
carefully planned transitions, he has created a visual feast in which
no moment is like any other. This is the result of a two-year effort on
a budget of $2,000 and a passion for filmmaking. Shot entirely using a
portable digital camcorder and edited on a home computer, Red
Cockroaches pushes to the limit the notion of what a "no budget" film
can offer.

Soledad is Gone Forever is available for purchase on the Caachi website. SOLEDAD IS GONE FOREVER, part of the Cannes Film Market- Short Film Corner films in 2007, is a spellbinding, visually stunning, psychological drama that explores the long-term psychological impact of political persecution. Based on real accounts, this film presents an intimate portrait of a young immigrant photographer living in San Francisco, Soledad Gonzales, who learns her father’s remains have been found in a mass grave in Chile. Soledad’s recurring visions of chilling childhood images shatter her life, making her discover that these are real memories that have been repressed for twenty years.

Torn by her aunt Delia's advice to forget the past but faced by the implications of her father's death, Soledad must make a crucial decision. Does she have the courage to pursue the truth and will this realization finally bring peace to her tortured soul?
