Show Your Films as Downloaded Video, Streamed Video, or Both!

Filmmakers can now choose to offer their films as:

• Downloaded video: Viewers get DVD-resolution films in multiple formats, playable on the computer, TV, and personal media players (e.g., video iPod & iPhone).
  
• Streamed video: Viewers can watch your film immediately after buying it. Films are streamed to their computers (but the film is not downloaded to their computers). Viewers must be logged onto Caachi to watch a film.
  
• Offer both: Let your fans stream the your film on Caachi and download it. Cultivate your fan base by providing them immediate gratitude of watching the film on Caachi after paying for it and getting to watch a DVD resolution version of it after downloading it.



Revenue Share & Terms - Get 75% of the sales revenue!


With Caachi, most of the revenue generated will go to the deserving party – you, the filmmaker. Filmmakers receive 75% of the download sales. Caachi believes in transparency so we deduct no expenses from your 75% - you get your money with no strings attached. Other perks Caachi offers:


• Non-exclusive agreement (so you can work with other distributors).
  
• You can remove your film from Caachi at any time (so we don't lock you into a contract term).
  
• You retain all ownership rights.
• You set the selling price for your film (minimum of $0.99).
  
• Caachi can restrict sales based on geographic regions.
  
• Caachi markets the film online.
• Payments are sent in the 1st week of each month, along with an email summarizing film sales.
  
• Viewers watch your film in DVD-resolution as opposed to low resolution streaming video.

Get Started

1. Register.


2. Then send us your film & Quicktime trailer by either mailing or uploading them. See Sending Your Film Assets below.


3. The Quicktime trailer should be 640x480 or larger. We'll stream the trailer on the site since it is critical for selling your film. If its a short film under 10 minutes, no trailer is needed.


4. After we receive your film, we'll review it and let you know whether we want to distribute it.

5. Lastly, once you get your film onto Caachi, remember to let your friends, family and fans know that they can download your film here. Check out our marketing recommendations!

Sending Your Film Assets


You can either mail your film assets or upload them to us online using Podmailing.

1. Mail
Mail us a DVD & Quicktime (640x480) trailer of your film. Send to:

2. Upload using Podmailing
Upload your film & trailer using Podmailing - a simple, free software program that has no file size limits on what you send. The film and trailer (both should be at least 640x480) should be in Quicktime format. The bitrate for both should be greater than 4Mbps.


• Download and install Podmailing (www.podmailing.com/download.html).
  
• Open Podmailing and place either your file or folder (if you're sending multiple files) into the big blue circle with the envelope.
• In the "Send the podmail to" field, write films@caachi.com
• In the Message field, feel free to write a message or your contact information in case we need to reach you
  
• In the "Keep files up to" field, choose "1 week"
  
• Then click the "Send my podmail".
• Wait until the upload has completed and then we'll email you when we've downloaded the files.
  

Please note that any materials submitted to Caachi will not be returned.
