Brixton Beach

30 years ago Lambeth Council in South London commissioned the construction of the biggest skate park and BMX park in the city. It was popular then, and it's still very popular now. Apart from being a haven for local residents, it is visited by enthusiasts from all over the world. It is highly valued by users and spectators alike. Often as many as fifty people use the park at the same time. There is plenty of room for everyone and everyone is made welcome. In this 16-minute film we study the art and skills involved and talk to skate-boarders and BMXers about why they love the park.
