Power Up is an animated short film created with stencils, spray paint and a super-8 film camera. A critical view on today’s politics is presented through a twist on a classic video game created with animated stencil graffiti. In “Bomberman” our protagonist must avoid an increasingly overwhelming load of bombs in order to survive.

Sverre Fredriksen, Director & Producer

Sverre Fredriksen is a Norwegian animator/director working out of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Since finishing his film and animation studies at University of South Australia with his graduation film Power Up, Sverre has been working on a number of projects for Dutch production company Submarine, most notably the animated documentary series Bloot by Mischa Kamp. Currently, Sverre is working on the script for a new animated short film about water privatization. His website is http://www.ryanandsverre.tk/.
